Are YOU ready to explore career opportunities right here in North Carolina?
Join us for the High Point University Career Investors program, hosted by the Office of Career & Professional Development. This completely free program offers a series of treks across the city, where you'll visit amazing companies like Old Dominion, Tempur Sealy, iHeartMedia, and multiple nonprofit organizations!

The HPU Investors program, coined the local HPU in the City, is designed to provide High Point University students the opportunity to explore career opportunities with local businesses, network with their executives, and giving them the necessary exposure to discover how various industries operate.

What to expect and how to apply:

Each cohort will be committed to attending a series of 5 tour days or treks, hosted off-site across the Triad, on Fridays throughout the academic year. The program is completely FREE of cost, and other components of the program include:

  • A journey through the companies across sectors that make up the local workforce with tour days being organized by industry (design/furnishings, community development, manufacturing/engineering, etc.).
  • Complimentary lunches AND transportation provided
  • The chance to engage with executive-level leaders creating a pipeline for internship and job placement opportunities
  • The opportunity to practice your networking skills and participate in round-table discussions with professionals
  • A certificate of participation upon completion of the program
  • And more!

Students who are in good academic standing and currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at HPU are encouraged to apply, regardless of major or academic year! It should be noted that applying does NOT guarantee an interview. Students chosen to proceed to the next step will receive an email with detailed instructions on completing the interview via the Big Interview Platform. The committee will then review the virtual interviews to make final decisions.

*Should you be selected for the program, you are committing to attending at least three of the five tour days that will take place across the fall and spring semesters.
